John Creek is a R&D Vice-President for Bayer Consumer Health; currently responsible for leading the Morristown Development Center focusing on development and launch of therapeutic OTC drugs including brands like Aspirin, Claritin, Aleve, Afrin, Alka-Seltzer & Alka-Seltzer Plus, Astepro, and One-A-Day. Additionally, John has a dual hat strategic R&D role leading the global Allergy category.
John earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Penn State in 2007, joining Reckitt (formerly RB) in the same year. After several years working within product development, John took on a series of R&D leadership roles from 2012 through 2020 working across the Reckitt Health, Hygiene, and Home global business units, working with existing brands and driving the creation of new brands through a commitment to science & innovation.
In 2020 John took a position with Bayer Consumer Healthcare to drive global end-to-end innovation and product development in Cough-Cold business and in 2023 was promoted to his current role leading the R&D Development Center and driving growth in the Allergy category.
By focusing on meaningful medical and scientific insights tied to real consumer needs the product and brand launches resulting from John leads teams whose work is underpinned by robust science and have led to numerous publications, patents, and internal IP as well as substantial business growth.
